Alves de Sousa introduced this wine to the world, and is considered one of the Douro's most emblematic wines.

It is a deep ruby in colour with flavours of dry plums, figs, floral nuances, graphite, blackberries, and liquorice. Smooth, with great elegance, and depth. A long, and harmonious finish. Great ageing ability, although it shows a great harmony in its youth.

Serving Suggestions: Serve between 14º-16ºC 

Food Pairing: Quinta da Gaivosa red wine is an excellent pairing for red meats, particularly beef, game meats, and grilled meats.
