This wine is produced from the finest grapes from old vines, fermented in marble vats using the traditional grape treading method, and aged in new French oak barrels for a year, it boasts a deep ruby colour, and a clean aroma rich in wild berries with hints of mint and spices.
The flavour is intense, and round, with velvety tannins, and a lingering finish.
Serving Suggestions: Open preferably 2 hours before consumption, and serve at a temperature between 18º-19ºc
Food Pairing: The Dona Maria Grande Reserva Red pairs excellently with hearty, rich dishes like red meats, game such as hare, and rabbit, roast lamb, and pork, and Portuguese stews.
It also complements dishes with intense flavours, including wild fowl, and can be enjoyed with aged cheeses
